Westgate Growl Prowl 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run

In addition to impacting students academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually – Westgate Christian Academy encourages good health through direct teaching about exercise and diet, offers sports opportunities, and encourages students and adults to challenge themselves in our annual 5K run, the Westgate Growl Prowl. We invite you, whether you are a member of the Westgate family or not, to join us for this event.

 

Race Information

Date: Saturday, April 13, 2013

Time: 8 a.m. for 5K start; Fun Run immediately following 5K

Location: This year’s 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run will take place at Quail Ridge Park near the intersection of Highways 70 and 64.  Westgate volunteers will monitor the course.  Volunteers will also provide bottled water and snacks for all participants at the end of the races.

 

Registration

Cost: The cost is $25 for either the 5K or the 1-Mile Fun Run and includes a Tech brand shirt. 

Deadline: Please register by Friday, March 22 to assure that you will receive a shirt.

Packet Pickup

There will be NO registration or packet pickup on race day. 

Packets will be available for pickup at Big River Running Company in O’Fallon, Missouri on Friday, April 12, 2013 from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.

Awards

An awards ceremony will immediately follow the Fun Run.  The top overall male and female and top three in each age group will receive official awards.

Age groups: 9 and under, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+

Course

The course is challenging yet beautiful and located in Quail Ridge Park.
