Friday Memo – January 13, 2012
Tuesday, January 17th, 2012

Dear Friends,

The most important project we have going here in the Westgate office is registration for next year.  Later in this memo you will find the steps you need to take in order to register on line.  Remember you must return the Family Fundraising Agreement and your registration check for $100 to the school in order to be fully enrolled and secure your child’s space.  We open enrollment to the public on Tuesday of next week.  Seats are assigned on a first come, first served basis.  In order to be sure your child can return – especially in next year’s grade 2, 4, and 5 – it is a good idea to turn in your registration on Tuesday.

Guide for Open Enrollment

Looking to enroll for next year? Follow these steps!

Go to RenWeb.com

click “Login”

click “Parent Login”

Enter the District Code – “WCA-MO”

Enter your username – your e-mail address

Enter your password

Once you are into their RenWeb Page:

Click on “Family Information”

Click on “Enrollment/Reenrollment”

Put a check by the student(s) name

Then you simply follow the steps.  You can make changes to your demographics as you go.

When you get to a link that says “download the family fundraising agreement”, you can open it and print it at that time.  If you are unable to open it and print it we have hard copies in the office.

A screen will come up and tell you that your enrollment is complete.  The last step is to bring in a check for $100/per student and a signed family fundraising agreement! Then you’re ready for next year!

NEW Gala Date – March 9, 2012

Weekly Memo – December 23, 2011
Tuesday, January 17th, 2012

Dear Westgate Family,

This email comes to you brimming with the news of an exciting new year of working together to grow our kids in Faith, Character, and Academics.  God has used the time and talents of so many in our community to improve our service to all families.  I thank Him for having sent the expertise of so many of you who serve, getting little recognition, but making such a difference.  Thank you for your willingness to use that expertise for our cause!  The mission of Westgate is worth our best efforts.  The staff and I look forward to  partnering with you in 2012 and together watching your children grow in Christ.  Below are lots of opportunities to get involved in this ministry if you haven’t in the past.

January 12 – Open House

Please get the word out to all prospective private school parents and ask them to attend Open House. Use all means of social media you participate in to help get the word out. As you may be gathering with family and loved ones over the upcoming holidays, please remember to share with them what Westgate means to you and your family and allow them the opportunity to support our school. Many people who see the impact Westgate has made on your children may be more than willing to support our cause.

As the fiscal year ends, many people are looking to make charitable contributions to various organizations. Allow those people the opportunity to support a place where children are not only growing academically but also in faith and character.

Friday Memo – December 9, 2011
Tuesday, January 17th, 2012

Westgate Community,

This Christmas it seems like more people I speak with are actually focusing on the great gift God gave us in the form of Jesus.  With all the hub bub of the Christmas season, I encourage you to find some quiet time to read a little bit.  There is a relatively new book out written by John Eldredge entitled BEAUTIFUL OUTLAW.  It will be a great gift to give yourself, your friends, and family who are believers.  Also, please be sure to attend the STATE OF THE SCHOOL ADDRESS this next Tuesday evening.  All the details are listed below.  Our school belongs to all of us and depends on all of us.  Come and get the latest information about how we’re doing in relation to our vision.

State of the School – December 13th

The annual WCA State of the School meeting will be next Tuesday, December 13th at 7pm. All WCA parents are strongly encouraged to attend. The State of the School allows the Westgate family to meet together and hear the latest and most important information regarding our school, as presented by our Board of Directors.

In addition, any Elementary or Middle school class with 50% parent attendance at State of the School will earn a spirit wear day. Any EC class that has 50% parent attendance will earn a “PJ” day.

The meeting will take place in the Daniel J. Conoyer Social Sciences building on the campus of St. Charles Community College.

Annual Giving Campaign

The annual giving campaign will be running until December 31, 2011.

Waiver$ Deadline Coming soon

Waivers make a great Christmas gift or stocking stuffer! If you will need your waivers in before Christmas, the last opportunity to order will be Wednesday next week. Any orders turned in before 9am on Wednesday, December 14th will be available for pick-up before we leave for Christmas.

Prayer Meetings

We are still having the Prayer meetings in the Lion’s Den every Monday morning for parents to attend with the intention to pray for the school, its students, and for the teachers/classes. Parents and Teachers can e-mail prayer requests to Sheri Michael to get the word out.  Write “Prayer Request” in the subject section.

Want to earn Box Tops without spending any money?

Remember to take a look at the General Mills offers, part of the “click and earn” program. The video clips are advertising, and some require you to share with a few friends, but all of them will explain what is required of you at the beginning. Bottom line; this is a great way to earn extra Box Tops for Westgate and all it costs is your time.

Please take some time to explore this program;

Remember: Box tops can be returned using sheets found at www.boxtops4education.com or by simply using a labeled bag.
