Grandparents Day
WCA Grandparents Day is October 21st. All three buildings will host events throughout the morning. We will dismiss at 1:15pm.
8:40-9:15 am Grandparents’ Day Program at Early Childhood
9:30-10:45 am Grandparents’ Day Program at Elementary (K-2 in gym from 9:30- 10:00 while 3-5 are in classrooms; then switch for the second half)
11:00-12:20 am Grandparents’ Day Program at Middle School (Everyone in gym for opening from 11-11:20*, then grandparents follow students’ schedule and rotate through the classes-20 min. in each room)
Do Waiver$ Work? Words from a WCA Parent
Consistency is the key in using Westgate Waiver$ to meet your fund raising goal. Yes, working with Waiver$ makes it easy to purchase on a day to day basis, and I do when needed. As a result I have already met my fundraising goal for the year. Remember, you can use Waiver$ for dining out (including fast-food), remodeling projects, birthday presents, travel, and of course weekly purchases for groceries and gas. WCA Picture Retakes
WCA Picture Retake Day has been moved to Thursday, October 20th. Those students who missed the first picture day should be dressed for pictures on the 20th.

When families search for private schools in St. Peters on Yellowbook.com, Westgate is the top school on the list! We don’t have any reviews so far, but if you have something about Westgate that prospective families should know, give Westgate a great review!
WCA Middle School
Checking In or Out?
Middle school parents, please remember that students who come late or leave early from school should sign in or out at the office. It is very important that we have an accurate record of those students who are in the building.
Hot Lunch
Please turn in hot lunch forms by 9am the Thursday before the applicable week. We cannot take late orders because orders are due to the restaurant Thursday and the office needs time to process the orders, submit the final spreadsheet, and submit a payment. Please remember to pack, forks, spoons, drinks, sauces if needed and a couple of napkins each day.
Fitness Testing
It’s that time again, Presidential fitness testing will take place during the month of October. Please make sure that any fitness related medications are on hand or updated in the office.
Box Tops
Check out the box top prizes for the year and the October fun sheet that will make collecting box-tops fun for the whole family! Remember, the money earned goes toward FIELD DAY! More sheets and information are available at www.boxtops4education.com.
Spirit Wear
Spirit wear is available right now in the elementary office! Those who have infants & toddlers at home that do not attend Westgate, you can still purchase Spirit Wear for your future Westgate student. Infant and Toddler sizes available now! NEW Westgate coffee mugs are available for $10 in the elementary office.

The Cold is Coming!
Remember that all of our ECC kiddos will need jackets at school this fall. The extra clothes students have in their cubbies should be switched to warmer clothes appropriate to the season. Also, those families who are able are invited to donate clorox to the ECC classrooms.
