Spiritwear Guidelines
Every Friday is a Spiritwear Day at WCA.
- Students can wear any item that was sold as Westgate spiritwear or any “uniform shirt” purchased for them to play on a Westgate team.
- Students can wear Westgate hoodies on spiritwear days if the weather dictates needed warmth.
- Students can wear their uniform slacks, capris, or walking shorts with the Westgate shirt.
- Students can wear blue jeans, blue jean capris, or blue jean walking shorts. It is expected that neither male nor female students should wear the form fitting blue jeans – often referred to as skinny pants.
- Students in the primary grades don’t always have the body shape or the dexterity to cope with blue jeans. For this reason, primary (grades K-2) students can wear blue, knit slacks, walking shorts, or capris with an elasticized waistline. These knit items should not be tight. They should be loose. Students should not wear items that fit like leggings.
- Students in grades 3 through 8 should stick to the items listed in numbers 2, 3, and 4.
- No student should wear any other colored slacks, walking shorts, or capris.
- Female students at elementary may wear their uniform skirt; middle school girls can wear their uniform skirts.
Please understand that students who come to school dressed in ways outside of these guidelines will be asked to call home and ask their parent to bring them the appropriate clothing or go home for the day.
