BUILDING A SCHOOL OF READERS PROGRAM UPDATE!

Many thanks to all of you for your support of this year’s “Out of this
World! Reading and Math Program!” We hope the kids had a great time.
Again, congratulations to the Kindergarten class for ‘highest percentage
of participation.’ As a result, they earned a class party on May 14.
Awards to ‘top decal earners per classroom’ and ‘top decal earner
overall’ will be awarded on May 28 during the school’s award assembly.
Top earner overall will be awarded a stuffed Build-a-Bear Fred Bird and
four tickets to a Cardinals home game! Go Red Birds!

A big thanks to Mrs. Melanie Bishop for designing all of the fun
take-home math sheets for the program!

Reading over the summer is a great way to hone your child’s literacy
skills as well as earn decal(s) for next year’s program, too! St.
Charles City-County Library District will start its “Make a Splash!
READ!” Summer Reading program June 7 - August 7. Drop by to pick up a
reading log and sign up! For more great resources for kids, go to

Barnes and Noble will host its annual summer reading program as well.
Read 8 books and earn a free book as well as 1 decal for our program!
