Westgate Reading Program
With thanks for the efforts of Julie Turner, we were successful in receiving $3000 in grant monies to fund a very special reading program for our students. All students in kindergarten through eighth grade are welcome to participate. Students will receive a t-shirt and will add “a patch” each time they read a specified number of books. There are also some special family nights planned that will allow the whole family to have fun with math and reading. November 19th is Family Math Night so put that on your calendar now! Below are some downloads that will explain the program and allow you to print the reading logs the kids will need to track their reading each month. Just save it to your home computer and print as needed throughout the year! All of our students are encouraged to participate. There will also be special days when the kids get to wear their reading t-shirts and wear blue jeans - and non-participants miss out on these days!
