WESTGATE CHRISTIAN ACADEMY RECEIVES 2011 BEST OF ST. PETERS AWARD

St. Peters, MO  February 16, 2011 –  For the third consecutive year, Westgate Christian Academy has been selected as the Best Private Elementary & Secondary School in St. Peters, MO.

“We are really excited about this award.  This is an indication of how hard our teachers, staff, and parents work to deliver an exceptional experience to our students.  From day one our goal has been to seek the highest and best level of academic preparation for each student and this award is a tangible recognition of delivering on this objective,” says Principal Peggy Barratt.

Nationwide, less than 1% of recipients qualified as Three-Time Award Winners.  The U.S. Commerce Association issues the award to outstanding local businesses throughout the country each year that exemplify success and also enhance the value of their local community.

“Our mission is really simple, but it is actually rather difficult to execute.  The partnership we have with our families to deliver a quality private Christian education is really something special,” says Barratt.  “We are teaching our students to be problem solvers – able to think through situations and bring knowledge gained in a variety of subjects together to come up with a satisfactory solution.  Our students learn as individuals, and in small and large groups. This enhances their ability to work as individuals and as contributing members of work groups – a valuable life skill.   We also believe our results are beginning to speak for themselves.”

About Westgate Christian Academy

Westgate was incorporated in 2005 and serves students from Infant through 8^th grade.  Westgate is accredited through AdvancEd, formerly the North Central Association, and currently serves 222 students.

Westgate staff members work in partnership with families to provide a Christ-centered environment with a challenging academic curriculum.  This partnership develops students who are academically prepared to serve Jesus Christ with all their heart, mind and strength.

Currently, enrollment is open for the 2011-2012 school year.
